On July 31, 2019, the IRS issued its final rule allowing employers to voluntarily truncate Social Security numbers on copies of Form W-2 issued after December 31, 2020.

Notice on Temporary Deferral of Payroll Taxes
On August 8, 2020, President Trump signed a memorandum suggesting the temporary deferral of Social Security payroll taxes for employees that earn less than $4,000 bi-weekly, calculated on a pre-tax basis.

NetID+ Now Required for Direct Deposit Information
Effective February 6, NetID+, the university’s two factor authentication system, will be required to access the Direct Deposit feature in UAccess Employee. This security enhancement is designed to better protect the safety of our employees’ financial assets.
