Important Changes to Accounts within IDCDPT and SSCOLD Sub-funds

Hello University Business Offices,  

In a joint effort between Finance & Budget, Sponsored Projects, and UAIR, we have updated accounts in the IDC-Department (IDCDPT) and Summer Session College Distribution (SSCOLD) sub-funds to simplify your administrative workflow.  

This realignment will now enable colleges and divisions to manage funding within these accounts and expend these resources in the same manner as all other Allocated Designated accounts, reducing processing and reporting complexities. 

What's changing

The budget recording level for the accounts in the IDCDPT and SSCOLD sub-funds has been transitioned from N – No Budget to C – Consolidation, aligning these sub-funds with the other F&A/IDC and Summer sub-funds within the new Allocated Designated Planning Fund. These changes will allow colleges and divisions to use the Request for Budget Change system to load and transfer budgets between accounts.

In addition, after reviewing last year’s stop on transfers from these accounts, we have reinstituted departments’ ability to initiate budget transfers between SSINST and SSCOLD or IDCADM and IDCDPT accounts without submitting a request to the Office of Budget and Planning. Sponsored Projects will no longer send deficit notices for IDCDPT accounts.

What's next

The Allowable Transfers dashboard in UAccess Analytics will reflect these changes starting Wednesday, July 23. To access the dashboard from the Analytics homepage:

  1. Navigate to Dashboards

  2. Choose Financial 

  3. Select General - System Value Sets

  4. Choose Allowable Transfers
